The CO2 Conference Week: Dec 6 - 8, 2016 in Midland, Tx
The Conference Week opens on Tuesday, December 6th (8:00 am) at the Midland County Horseshoe Pavilion, Midland, Tx with the 14th Annual EOR Carbon Management Workshop examining the latest in CCUS (storage of CO2 during EOR). This popular event is the 14th annual and the first in a series of events through the rest of the week. A reception will follow the Workshop at the Horseshoe Pavilion. Wednesday morning will feature a seminar on Residual Oil Zones (ROZs) - Their Origins, Processes and Exploitation. Wednesday afternoon will feature a field trip to a nearby CO2 flood and its CO2 recycling facilities. Attending both the seminar and field trip is possible. A reception will follow the day's activities at the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum. All day Thursday will be the ever-popular 22nd Annual CO2 Flooding Conference featuring Flooding Case Histories. The 14th Annual EOR Carbon Management Workshop – Midland, Texas
Tuesday, December 6th
Conference Week opens Tuesday December 6th with the EOR Carbon Management Workshop at the Midland County Horseshoe Pavilion. The Technical Session I on Tuesday, Dec 6th is from 8:00 am to 11:30 am at the Horseshoe Pavilion. Luncheon at the Horseshoe Pavilion from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm, with keynote speaker (Speaker TBA). Technical Session II is from 1:00 - 5:30 pm at the Horseshoe Pavilion. Reception follows at the Horseshoe Pavilion from 5:30-7:30 pm.
Wednesday, Dec 7th
The Wednesday AM event features seminar starting at 8:00 am and ending at noon. It examines the origins and characteristics of residual oil zones and the very latest in the case histories of how they are being exploited today. It will also be held at the Horseshoe Pavilion in Midland, Texas. The seminar concludes at 12:00 pm aloowing the attendees to go to the field trip but, alternatively, a lunch is included beginning at 12:00 noon at the Horseshoe Pavilion.
The Wednesday afternoon event will be a half-day CO2 EOR Field Trip to a nearby CO2 project and its facilities (45 minutes northwest of Midland) on Wednesday, Dec 7th from 12:00 pm - 5:30 pm (buses depart promptly at 12:15 from the Horseshoe Pavilion). Registration is limited to first 70 persons. A box luinch is included for the participants.
