The annual celebration in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels will be held on the eve of her Feast Day, December 11, starting at 7 p.m. and culminating with a midnight Mass at 12 a.m. The festivities will begin at 7 p.m. with traditional dances on the Cathedral’s Plaza as a tribute to the Blessed Mother, followed by veneration of a relic of the tilma (a piece of the original mantle where the Virgin miraculously appeared to St. Juan Diego) at 9:30 p.m. At 10 p.m., the celebration moves inside the Cathedral for a Rosary prayer. At 10:30 p.m. there will be a mariachi performance, and special invited guest singers Helen Ochoa, Jonatán Sánchez, and Alondra Santos and other artists to be announced, will serenade the Virgin.
