2016 Fall Grand Prix Tournaments
DATES: October 9, November 6, and December 4
TIMES:
* Late registration: 12:15 – 12:45pm
* All players must arrive by 12:45pm
* Round 1: 1:00pm. Round 2: 2:30pm. Round 3: 4:00pm.
Location: Kimball Wiles Elementary, 4601 SW 75th Street, Gainesville, FL 32608
WHO: K-1, K-3 and K-5 (Open only to fifth graders or younger)
USCF MEMBERS ONLY: All players MUST join the U.S. Chess Federation (USCF) before you register: www.uschess.org/join, Tournament: USCF Rated G/30 d5
REGISTRATION: There are three ways to register for the Fall Grand Prix (once you are a USCF member):
1) Register for all three tournaments simultaneously and securely online by October 7, 2016 on this site. There is no extra charge for online registration.
Fee: $40 for all three tournaments.
2) Fill out registration form and mail it to the address below. Get registration form at www.gainesvillechess.com. Mailed registration fees must be received by the Friday preceding the tournament. Make all checks payable to ACSCA. For mail-in entries, send registration form and check to: ACSCA, P.O. Box 12197, Gainesville, FL 32604
Fee: $15 per tournament; $40 for all three tournaments.
3) Register on site between 12:15pm – 12:45pm. Registration forms will be available. Fee: $20 per tournament.
AWARDS:
· All participants will receive either a ribbon or a medal at each tournament. Any student scoring 2, 2½, or 3 points at any single tournament will receive a medal.
· At the end of the December tournament, any players attending all three tournaments will be given a participation trophy.
· Grand Prix scores will be tallied at the end of the third tournament. The top three scoring individuals in each section will be awarded a Grand Prix Trophy.
· Grand Prix trophies will also be awarded to the top two scoring teams in each section. While team sizes may vary, a team score will consist of only the three top scoring boards/individuals from each section of each participating team.

NOTE: All participants must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult member of their school or chess club. No student is to be dropped off. Parents and coaches will be responsible for the actions of their students at all times. Good sportsmanship and proper behavior is expected at all times both during and between rounds.
