2015 Virginia Jaguar Club Concours
"The British are coming to Williamsburg..., three if by Jaguar!"
This Just In!
Join is for the before & after Concours events Thursday & Sunday (see below)!
This year’s VJC Concours will take place in Historic Williamsburg on the picturesque grounds of the Williamsburg Winery. www.williamsburgwinery.com/.
The winery serves as a great venue as it features a European-style country hotel, Wedmore Place Hotel www.wedmoreplace.com/ . Casual dining is offered at the Gabriel Archer Tavern; with fine dining at Café Provencal, both on the grounds of the winery, and steps away from the hotel.
Activities planned include a welcome reception, scenic drive leading to a diner, the JCNA sanctioned Concours, poolside cocktail reception, and banquet dinner in in the court yard in proximity of the fountain and even a few Jaguars.
As for lodging, while the Wedmore on the grounds of the winery will be the official host hotel, there is plenty of other lodging available in the area to meet most any price and comfort level. Rooms at the Wedmore are discounted for the event starting at $168 per night. There are only a limited number of rooms available, and remember, it is the tourist season in Williamsburg, so please make your reservations early whether at the Wedmore or elsewhere in Williamsburg. Cancellations are permitted for the Wedmore up to ten weeks before the Concours without penalty. Trailer and reserved parking will be available.
Make sure to see the automobile memorabilia that graces the walls in the ground floor hallway, not to mention the art throughout the Wedmore. By the way, wine tasting and winery tours are available, and are complementary when staying at the Wedmore. For those not staying, there is a small charge for the wine tasting.
Before & After the Concours Events:
Historic Williamsburg is a great destination, so be sure to take the opportunity to see the history, enjoy the fine dining and shopping in the area, and even spend a day at Busch Gardens. We highly recommend arriving a day early, and experiencing the International Food and Wine festival at Busch Gardens (Discount tickets to Busch Gardens will be available for Thursday).
Sunday will feature the 7th Annual Williamsburg Invitational, hosted by the Colonial Auto Enthusiasts and Merchants Square Association www.colonyautoenthusiasts.com, featuring a remarkable display of vintage cars steps away from Colonial Williamsburg. After viewing the classics cars, take a stroll over to the Second Sundays Williamsburg Art and Music Festival.
So, whether your are just interested in Concours, or taking advantage of the opportunity to enjoy all that Williamsburg has to offer, we look forward to seeing you at the Concours, and toasting to great food & wine, beautiful cars, and great friends. Please stay tuned for details. Remember if you are planning on attending, do not forget to reserve your room at the Wedmore soon. At the very least, reserve the date.

When & Where
Virgina Jaguar Club
The Virginia Jaguar Club (VJC) is the central Vrginia based affiliate of the Jaguar Club of North America (JCNA), but has members in all parts of the state. The VJC served as the host for JCNA Annual General Meeting (AGM) in 2011, combined with the XKExperience to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the E-type. We were honored with Norman Dewis as guest VIP for this event. If that were not enough, in 2013 the VJC successfully hosted the JCNA Challenge Championship just north of Richmond, where Jaguar promoted the recent introduction of the F-Type roadster. Ian Callum, world renowned Chief of Design for Jaguar Land Rover, and Andy Goss, Group Sales Operations Director Jaguar Land Rover, were the guests of honor.
It all comes down to enjoying not only Jaguar cars but also the camaraderie of its' members. For as much as there is a fond admiration of Jagaurs, it is the members that define the club.
Have you driven a Jaguar lately? ...."It's good to be bad!"
