Public invited: More than 50 large vehicles on display May 16 for free, inaugural "Long Beach Touch-A-Truck" interactive event


The inaugural “Long Beach Touch-A-Truck” interactive event will take place Sat., May 16 from 9:30 a.m. til 12:30 p.m. in the beachfront parking lot at Granada Ave.  The free event is co-sponsored by Councilwoman Suzie Price and Justin Rudd’s nonprofit Community Action Team (CAT).

at Granada Beach, thanks to the Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine.  Enter the parking lot at 1 Granada Ave. or 1 Bennett Ave. 

Long Beach Firefighters Local 372 will be grilling hot dogs.  The event will include live music by Jazz Angels, and on-site silk-screened event t-shirts will be offered by Red Eye Media.  There will be a LEGO play corral provided by the Long Beach LEGO User Group.

SIT IN THE DRIVERS' SEATS: Kids and adults are invited to climb aboard and explore the vehicles, including firetrucks, police vehicles, buses, semi-trucks, tractors, and military vehicles.


VIP half hour: 9-9:30 a.m. only for children with disabilities and special needs, and for the kids of Long Beach Boys & Girls Club.
