Reserve your place now! Early Bird deadline ends Oct 31, 2014, 11:30 PM. Final deadline is February 10, 2014, 5 PM, but we anticipate that we will be sold out well before then as we have for the past several years.
About the Festival
The 21st annual Virginia Festival of the Book is held in venues throughout the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County, Virginia over five days. (The Book Fair is held only one day, 3/21/15, at the Charlottesville Omni Hotel Atrium/Lobby.)
Book Fair Venue
This is NOT a juried event. Table rentals are accepted on a first come, first served basis but must be related to literary, literacy, book, or reading items/products. The Fair will be in the Charlottesville Omni Hotel Atrium, amid two major streams of programming: Crime Wave mystery and thriller programs and Publishing Day events for aspiring and established authors.
Sales and Foot Traffic
Registrants are responsible for their own sales and for getting their items to the Omni. (See below for set-up details.) While we cannot guarantee sales, the Book Fair receives excellent foot traffic and is geographically in the midst of some of the Festival's most popular events. We have many returning exhibitors. The Omni is the Festival headquarters. The name of your organization and a VERY brief description will be listed in the "Publishing Day" program with additional information and your website link on the vabook.org website.
(1) One-half table (3 ft), $120 and shared with another party assigned by Festival organizers. Early Bird Discount has ended.
(2) One table (6 ft), $225. Early Bird Discount has ended
(3) Double table (maximum number), $425. Early Bird Discount has ended
(4) Electrical Hookup $50 (Must be ordered separately in addition to the table)
Space and Facilities
Tables are 3’ x 6’, with tablecloths, with two chairs at a full table and one chair for each vendor at the half-table. Set up begins at 8:00 am, March 21 (no earlier) and break down must begin by 4:15 pm. All tables will be in the hotel atrium; none will be in the meeting room corridors.
Space is very tight and stand-alone displays must be kept on the table or behind one's space. Additional tables and display units beyond those on or behind the tables are prohibited.
