Winter Film Awards 2013 Independent Film Festival runs from February 26 - March 1 2014 and consists of three days of film screenings and after-party events, followed by an Awards Ceremony. We have an exciting and diverse selection of 61 films of all types - animation, feature, short, horror, music videos, documentaries and foreign language films.
Screenings are broken into three blocks per day. Each block is 3 hours and 10 minutes and includes a 10 minute intermission. Each block includes 4-10 films - a feature length film and a series of shorts and music videos in a mixture of genres. Advance Tickets are available for individual screening blocks, or purchase a full-day or full-festival screening passes. Tickets will also be available at the door if the screening block is not sold out. Seats will be held for Day and Festival pass holders up until 15 minutes before doors open.

Films are not rated and some content may not be appropriate for children. Parties and Awards Ceremony are 21+ and require proof of age for entry.
Please note: The Blue Diamond Theater is up a flight of stairs and is not handicap accessible.
Winter Film Awards is a pending 501(c)3 registered non-profit organization. In addition to our yearly independent film festival, we host 4-6 film-related events per year, including as networking parties, film-themed Scavenger Hunts, a 48-Hour Film Challenge and discussion panels. Winter Film Awards
Winter Film Awards is an Independent Film Festival and Awards Show which takes place annually in New York City. Created by filmmakers and arts enthusiasts, Winter Film Awards aims to serve as an arena in which film industry professionals at all stages of their careers can gain exposure by showcasing their work and receive widespread recognition for their achievements. The Festival takes place in February and consists of three days of film screenings and after-party events, followed by an Awards Ceremony.
Submissions categories include (among others) feature film, short film, horror, documentary, foreign language, and a special NY Perspectives category for films made in and featuring NYC and created by the New Yorkers.. Winter Film Awards is proud to create an environment where creative minds collide. In addition to the Festival itself, we present several smaller events throughout the year to engage the film community, including networking events, discussion panels and our 48-Hour Film Challenge.
The Winter Film Awards Indie Film Festival gives emerging filmmakers the opportunity to screen their films in front of a large audience, some for the first time. In addition to prizes and community recognition, Winter Film Awards winners are able to enjoy the added credibility and acclamation that comes with being an award-winning filmmaker -- elements which can be integral to finding funding for future projects or attaining the ever-coveted distribution deal.
