Share 2014 Understanding Birth - The Series (Four nights from 6:30-9:00)

Event Details

Join us for a 4 week series for women and their partners.  We recommend that this class be taken near your 30th week of pregnancy.  The class includes preparation for labor and delivery, Lamaze breathing and relaxation, comfort techniques, postpartum and newborn care, analgesia and anesthesia.  All instructors are certified to teach the Lamaze method.

You must register for this class and the $75 fee allows you the opportunity to attend an Anesthesia Class on a separate night at a different location for FREE. 

(One extra support person is welcome to attend the class with you at no cost, in the event that your main support person is unable to attend your birth) 


What to bring: 2 pillows, a blanket or yoga mat, and snack/drinks.  Since the class is geared for adults, we ask that you make other arrangements for your children.

Florida Hospital Altamonte's hospital-based birth center provides women with more birthing options within the safety of a hospital setting. Florida Hospital Altamonte's Birth Center is the only maternity unit to offer a birthing center within a hospital, which allows women the opportunity to customize their birth experience, giving them more power and involvement in the birthing process.

Baby Bottoms Boutique and The Breastfeeding Project will be hosting the Bellies, Babies and Kids Expo.  The Bellies, Babies & Kids Expo is a FREE fun, family oriented event that will provide local families access to Central Florida vendors, education for parents, entertainment, hands-on activities for children, a children’s play area, samples and great giveaways.  There will be a lot of great local vendors who specialize in everything pregnancy, baby, mommy pampering and child related.  We will also have fun events for the kids and demonstrations for our parents.  The Bellies, Babies & Kids Expo will also host the 2014 Great Cloth Diaper Change Event where cloth diapering families all over the globe will join once again to break the Guinness Record for the most cloth diaper changes. The proceeds from this expo will benefit the Breastfeeding Project.  Come out and join us for a day of family fun. This is a FREE event!
