On Saturday, June 7, from 8AM to 3PM at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale, AR, Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) will host the 2014 SDIA Heroes WOD, a multi-purpose CrossFit event. Happening shortly after Memorial Day, our intention is to honor our nation's "Sheep Dogs" (current/former military and first responders - law enforcement, fire & rescue, EMS) and the anniversary of D-Day (June 6), to help raise funds for SDIA's community outreach programs, and to bring together the CrossFit boxes and athletes from Northwest Arkansas and surrounding regions (including Little Rock, Conway, Ft. Smith, Tulsa and Springfield) for some fun, competition and camaraderie.
The Heroes WOD (CrossFit’s acronym for Workout of the Day) is open to the public, and will have CrossFit athletes participating in an exciting and challenging two-person team competition. There will be Rx and Scaled divisions, as well as an individual Kids WOD for those ages 8-17. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in each adult division, as well as to the overall winning CrossFit box - which they will hold onto and defend at next year's competition!
Cost is $50 per two-person team, which includes a special edition SDIA event t-shirt and lunch. Children can participate in the Kids WOD for $10 each. Spectators may watch the event for free.
Teams will need to specify which division they wish to compete in at time of registration. Refunds will be offered up to 2 weeks prior to the event (May 24, 2014); after that date no refunds will be offered. Please bring a copy of your registration to the event along with photo IDs for each athlete.
Any questions about this event should be directed to Eric McCarty at firstname.lastname@example.org.

We would certainly like to take a moment to thank some of our other terrific supporters and sponsors. Without the support of all these organizations, events like this wouldn't be possible.
