Application must be filled out within the time allotted on the clock. You will have 30 minutes to complete your registration. You will lose your entry if the clock expires.
Family Winemakers is returning to Pasadena after a year off. Based on feedback we expect the LA trade to welcome you back. You can expect a different tasting for 2014.
Your registration will not be confirmed until payment of the registration fee and 2014 membership dues are received and your certificate of insurance is on file. That deadline is January 31. Confirmed registrations mean wineries get early promotional consideration -- listing on the trade invidation (deadline is January 6) and listing on the FWC website. Confirmed registrations are held in the order of receipt of payment in case there is a waiting list. Wineries are responsible for submitting their insurance certificate to our specified agent.
Registration Fee: $600.00
2014 Membership Dues: Dues are based on case sales from your last complete fiscal year or joint dues schedule. From our Members Only page, click on Renew Membership, update your information, scroll to the bottom and submit the form.
Dues and registration fee may be paid together. After submitting this form, and if you are paying by credit card, you can return to the Family Winemakers website and select the Tastings Registration tab to pay. If you have not paid your dues, now is the time to do so. Click on Renew Membership next, fill out the form and click Shopping Cart button on the invoice page to complete your transaction. Friday, January 31, last day to register for the tasting. FWC membership dues, tasting registration fee and Certificate of Insurance are due. FWC reserves the right to cancel registrations for non-compliance. This is also the last day for the winery to be listed in the program.
Cancellation/Refund policy: Cancel by January 31: Full refund. Cancel by February 7: 75% refund, Cancel by February 18: 50% refund. Cancel by February 25: 35% refund. After February 25: No refund.
License Requirements: Due to FWC sponsored legislation, California holders of Type 17 and Type 20 licenses or holders of a Type 85 license are allowed to participate in this tasting.
Our first tasting was held on November 12, 1991, in the Sheraton Palace Hotel in San Francisco. Family Winemakers had 71 member wineries back then, and 47 of them poured that night for about 350 members of the wine trade. We've grown. We have over 375 members today and many of them pour at one or all of our tastings: Bay Area, Del Mar and Pasadena. We've grown, and so have our tastings, but some things haven't changed. The wineries are just as dedicated as they were in 1991 to producing the finest wines they can, the winemakers are just as passionate about the right soil, the right grape, the right microclimate. And Family Winemakers is just as committed to presenting our member wineries and their wines at tastings that showcase the breadth and depth of winemaking in our state. Family Winemakers ...
