Located in the former Tulsa Union Depot, the Jazz Depot hosts regular jazz performances, and is a museum displaying photographs, biographical information, artifacts, and memorabilia honoring Tulsa’s jazz heritage. For 2014 the Oklahoma Bike Summit is presented by Freewheel, Inc. Freewheel is Oklahoma’s signature bicycling event. Celebrating its 36th year, Freewheel has dedicated itself to promoting and strengthening cycling tourism in Oklahoma .
What is the Oklahoma Bike Summit?
A bike summit is an opportunity for all stakeholders to visit, exchange ideas, discuss plans, share successes, and evaluate results. Bicyclists, urban planners, transportation engineers, health professionals, architects, elected officials, state agencies, and civic leaders will come together to learn and share about the benefits bicycling offers to the citizens and economy of Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Bike Summit through nationally recognized speakers and conference leaders will show how other states have improved their bicycling facilities, become healthier, safer, and better places to live, all of which helps to attract new business investment.
