Description
What: Our annual Adult Conference including Teachers, Parents,Staff, and Administration at Bay Area Independent schools.
Theme: Different Roles, same goals. The partnership between parents and teachers with respect to equity, diversity and inclusion.
Purpose:
- To discuss the challenges and opportunities inherent in the partnership between parents and teachers in the independent school system
- To begin the definition of and develop a common community wide framework whose intention is to support the partnership between teachers and parents
- To leave the conference with a set of concepts and actions each school can consider implementing in their community.
Agenda for the day:
8 - 8:50 Registration, also during this time people are encouraged to go through the chapel.
9 - 9:15 POCIS/School Intro
9:15 - 10:00 Panel
10:00 - 10:10 transition to breakouts
10:10 - 11:30 Affinity group breakouts
11:40 - 12:20 Lunch
12:20 : 12:30 Transition to break-out number 2
12:30 - 1:50 Breakout # 2 Mashup (same facilitators)
1:50 - 2:00 transition to close

- Presentation by Cathedral School Student Diversity Grop
