2014 Mile High 5 Race and Fun Run
Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM (MDT)
The Mile High 5 offers a quality 5 mile, 5k (3.1 miles), and 5,000 ft fun run (almost a mile), which is open to competitive and recreational runners/walkers. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in age categories.
Our mission is to encourage physical fitness in children, while introducing them to a life-long love of running and racing.
LOCATION: Sloan's Lake Park (Sheridan Blvd. between 17th and 26th Ave) The start and finish is located at the NE corner of the park on W Byron Pl. between Vrain St. and W 24th Ave.
PARKING: Parking is available on the street only. Please be aware of city parking signage. W. Byron Pl. from Vrain St. to W. 24th Ave. will be closed for a short time prior to race start.
7:30am - 8:30am - Registration & Packet Pick up
8:30am - 5000ft
9:00am - 5k (3.1 mile)
9:15am - 5 mile
Your entry into the Mile High 5 includes: Registration for the 5 mile OR 5k (3.1 mile), a race t-shirt, and post-race refreshments. The 5 mile and 5k (3.1 mile) are chip timed.
*Prices will increase April 27, 2014.
In the interest of safety, we ask that strollers go at the end.
The proceeds from the race go to benefit partnering Northwest Denver schools: Brown International Academy, Centennial - A School for Expeditionary Learning, Colfax Elementary, Edison Elementary, Escuela Valdez - A DPS Dual Language School, Skinner Middle School, and North High School.
