Speaker: Dr. Rodney Vergotine, Clinical Associate Professor, Associate Postgraduate Program Director, University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry
ADVOCACY: Advocating for the Latino Community: The Time is Now: Many students believe that until they earn their professional degrees they are not ready to be advocates. Speaker: Dr. Jorge Girotti, Director, Hispanic Center for Excellence, University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine
LEADERSHIP: Professional Leadership in the Community is a Key to Success: This talk will speak to the basic principles of leadership that must be a part of everyone's daily life as well as part of their professional life. Key points will include: Setting an example for others to follow by practicing ethical leadership; Empowering others to lead; Admitting that you cannot lead without a team; and Listening to those that need your leadership. Speaker: Dr. Larry Williams, Assistant Professor, College of Medicine, Midwestern University Illinois
