ICTC, BCIT and our Industry Partners are again offering a conference and workshops for Post Secondary Professors, Instructors and Technology, Business, Guidance Teachers across British Columbia. As always, the conference is free to practicing teachers, Principals and Superintendents. This event will be hosted by BCIT’s Technical Computing department and aligns with Academy Support Center (ASC) functions:


Registration includes access to the BCIT Campus, all conference sessions, presentations and hands-on workshops/labs.  Refreshments and some meals (Continental Breakfast, Breaks, and Lunchs) are included with your conference registration.

The roles of Systems, Network, Storage and Security Administrators in the Data Center has always evolved over the last 50 years, however the introduction of Private, Hybrid and Public Cloud models, which leverage new capabilities such as Software Defined Networking, Virtualization, and Data Center Interconnects, seems to only be accelerating the change. This session will identify some of the new “buzzwords” that are affecting our compute environments, and the skills needed to support these new demands in the near future.


Industry Panel - CompTIA - A facilitated discussion on what the future holds for students, how they should   prepare and what teachers can do to ready students for challenges in the future. An open Q&A will be held at the end of the session.
