2014 CPC Presbytery and Family Camp
Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 5:00 PM - Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 6:00 PM (EDT)
You are invited to come to the
2014 General Assembly and Family Camp
of the Covenant Presbyterian Church!
This is a very family-friendly event, with food, fun, and fellowship for all ages. While there will be time for the elders of our denomination to meet, there will also be time for families to interact and get to know one another.
Depending on what you enjoy, there are many things a family can do if you wanted to plan a family vacation in conjunction with your attendance of the presbytery meeting.
First and foremost would be that King's Domain is less than one hour from the Answers In Genesis “Creation Museum.” If your family hasn't had the opportunity to visit this venue, we hope you can. We will work on getting a special discount for all who would like make the visit.
If you like amusement parks, King's Domain is approximately 10 miles from the largest amusement park in the Midwest. I haven’t been there in several years, but it has incredible roller coasters, a mini-Eiffel tower and a nightly fireworks display we may be able to see from the retreat center where we are staying.
Not too far away, in Dayton, Ohio is a free museum that is arguably one of the best aviation museums in the world called the National Museum of the United States Air force.
King’s Domain (http://www.kingsdomain.org/) is located just north of Cincinnati, Ohio in the scenic foothills of the Appalachian Mountains on the Little Miami River. Within a mile of King’s Domain, there are two canoe liveries, a sophisticated network of over- the-river zip lines operated by Ozone Ziplines.
We are building the schedule to give you and your family an opportunity to start or build on the relationships you have already formed with your brothers and sister in the CPC.
For those who need it, we have set up an installment program to let you take care of the cost of this event over time. Simply register using the "invioce" payment method and we will get with you to set everything up.
Everyone is also welcome to come up to our host church, Foundation Church, for worship the followiing Sunday, June 1. We are a church seeking to honor the Lord through our worship, fellowship, and daily lives. We hope you can join us! www.foundationfellowshipchurch.org
