2014 Chicago Tri Community Gear Swap
Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (CDT)
GEAR SWAP DETAILS
Tri-Masters Youth Initiatives, Centered Chef and the Chicago Triathlon are proud to again host Chicago's only triathlon-specific gear swap! During this event, new and veteran triathletes can exchange, buy or sell their used triathlon gear with ease.
This event is complimentary, with exception of a $10 seller fee. Snacks, beverages and cold beer will be served during the program. All participants must RSVP via this system.
NEW TO TRI?
Welcome to the party! This is a great, low-key environment for you to learn about the sport, meet some great people and check-out a wide variety of gear available to you. Better yet, join us for a non-intimidating "TRI 101" presentation before doors open -- just let us know on the questionnaire when you RSVP. Last year's event sold-out!
INTERESTED IN SELLING GEAR?
Clean out your triathlon gear trunk, grab that old wetsuit and dig through those vintage tri jerseys! Chance are you have a LOT of old triathlon gear, apparel and other gently-used items that you just couldn't bring yourself to throw away. Well, now's your chance to help out a new triathlete, make room for some new gear AND make a few bucks.
Please keep items specific to the sport of triathlon (ie. no kayaks or roller blades) and leave those old race t-shirts at home. Plan to arrive early for setup. We'll fill-in all sellers with the selling logistics and an item-labeling template as the event draws near.
What's best, you also have the opportunity to donate your gently-used (yet fully-functional) gear to Tri-Masters Youth Triathlon Programs - an amazing local group educating and coaching at-risk kids of the benefits of multisport.
INTERESTED IN BUYING GEAR?
Put together a list of what you need, grab a friend, come early for the best selection, and bring plenty of cash or a check (no credit cards to keep it simple). To ensure capacity and food counts, Buyers must also RSVP in advance.
