TreesGreenville is membership based 501 c 3 founded in 2005.  Our mission is to plant, promote, and protect trees in Greenville County.  TreesGreenville volunteers have helped plant over 4000 trees and logged over 9000 hours.

TreesGreenville plantings are funded by grants, memberships, donations, honorariums & memorials, the Turkey Day 8k, and our Annual ReLeaf Party.

Our donors, volunteers, events, and Corporate Partners will help us plant 300-500 trees each year throughout Greenville County.

  • At maturity, 400 trees will remove the equivalent of up to 4,400,000 million miles of car emissions, EACH YEAR.

Where do we plant?  Parks, schools, and neighborhoods throughout Greenville County.

What do we plant?  The majority of the trees we plant are 15 gallon trees.  They are urban hardy and mostly native species.

When do we plant? We plant most Saturday mornings October - March.  Each planting begins with a workshop to teach volunteers how to properly root prune, plant, mulch, and water.  Our plantings are family friendly.  Our volunteer schedule is on our website, www.treesgreenville.org.

What are our favorite trees?  Trees that will live 100 years or more and benefit generations yet to come.  We call them Legacy Trees:  i.e., Oaks, Maples, Elm, Hickory, Tulip Poplar, Black Tupelo, Magnolia.

How do I properly plant and mulch a tree?  Thank you for asking!  You can learn more here.

How can I help?  Become a member. Volunteer.  Make a donation.  Plant and care for trees in your own yard.
