23rd Anniversary of the Signing of the
Americans with Disabilities Act
On July 26, 2013, communities across the United States will celebrate the 23rd anniversary of the enactment of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) into law.
The ADA's mission is to make it possible for everyone with a disability to live a life of freedom and equality. The ADA encompasses areas such as Employment, Transportation, Public Facilites and accommodations, and Telecommunications accessibility.
The Center for Independent Living of South Florida, Inc. is collaborating with several like-minded organizations to bring awareness of the impact of this law in South Florida. This luncheon and speaker event is designed to recognize the impact of this law thru success stories of individuals, businesses and organizations in our community.
