Participants will gain the following objectives by attending this course:
- Comprehensive review of what differentiates an org design process from other business needs
- How as HR/OD/TM practicioners they can start to use real time tactics to assess their organization’s needs
- Learn how organization design and talent processes are critical to the success of their overall talent needs
- In teams review a real client case scenario and work together on how they would approach the issue, what tactics they would use to solve it and present their ideas to the team
- Build a better framework of knowledge on how to engage their business leaders in org design conversations and what to do with them
Joseph Logan - Slalom Consulting
Joseph Logan is an executive coach and strategy execution lead at Slalom Consulting in Denver and the author of Seven Simple Steps to Landing Your First Job. He is a frequent lecturer in CU Boulder’s Leeds School of Business. He has also taught topics ranging from organizational strategy to information technology and project management at American University and Boston University. He has presented at conferences around the world and has published book chapters, articles, and white papers for academic and trade publications. Locally, he has been featured on Fox 31 and ABC Channel 7, and he has appeared on radio programs across the country. Joseph is a graduation of American University and NTL Institute’s Master of Science in Organization Development program, and he has studied organization development at the doctoral level at Benedictine University.
Isla Bragg - Slalom Consulting
Isla leads the Organization Design offering as part of Slalom’s Organization Effectiveness practice. A graduate of Oxford University and former “Big 5” consultant, Isla has nine years’ experience of applying her deep strategic consulting skills together with detailed implementation expertise. Most recently, Isla has developed Slalom’s “Organization Assessment” diagnostic tool, helping organizations holistically and systematically identify their true organization design pain points and priorities for improvement. Isla has held a range of prior roles in driving strategic organization design and process design for strategic transformation initiatives, particularly in the context of ERP. She has supported large multi-national clients as well as smaller companies local to the Denver market. Often acting as a bridge between the business and IT, Isla’s focus is on bringing an Organizational perspective to technology and process transformation projects.
