2013 ICS Cyber Security Conference
Monday, October 21, 2013 at 12:00 PM - Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 5:00 PM (EDT)
In collaboration with the Georgia Tech Research Institute
The conference offers a unique environment for Control System engineers and their IT counterparts to get up to speed on SCADA, DCS and PLC cyber security.
Subjects covered during the four days of the conference include:
Walking a mile in their shoes: what IT doesn’t get about control systems and what control engineers don’t know about security threats.
Discussion and analysis of all the relevant types of ICS cyber incidents, including the ones usually ignored: unprovoked failure, collateral damage of IT malware & targeted ICS cyber-attacks.
Presentation of exclusive incident case histories, brought to you by the people who dealt with them and shared under the Chatham House Rule for speaker anonymity.
Presentation of approaches and good practices for ICS cyber security presented by the people who implemented them, addressing the organizational, procedural and technological aspects.
Looking at industrial control system from a hacker’s perspective: understanding who they are, how they find you and why they care.
Exhibits and interaction with vendors “that get it”, offering solutions focused on the specific cyber security needs of industrial control systems.
Conference attendees come from a wide variety of industries whose operations use ICSs. The majority are control systems/operations engineers and IT/security specialists. Others attendees come from vendors, integrators, academia and government. Participants from prior years include these organizations:
