Kennebec Explorers Camp: Presented by Maine Maritime Museum & Kennebec Estuary Land Trust
Your kids will love this five-day summer camp collaboratively lead by Maine Maritime Museum and the Kennebec Estuary Land Trust. Our camp will help foster your child’s natural curiosity for history and science and be one of their favorite activities of the summer. Campers will explore the ecosystem of Merrymeeting Bay, and the dynamic history that took part on its waters and along the shore that make it one of America’s most unique waterways. Outdoor excursions and guided activities include hands-on projects, site visits to special locations, boat cruises and kayaking expeditions on the Bay. Campers will gain a sense of stewardship for this special place. This program is possible through the sponsorship of Merrymeeting Bay Trust. Learning has never been so much fun!
Recommended for students ages 6-11 years old.
There are four sessions of camp: June 24-28, July 22-26, August 12-16 & 26-30, 2013.
