The Dallas Salsa Congress is a multicultural, family-friendly entertainment and open to everyone age 10 and up.

There are over 64 salsa performances scheduled throughout the weekend as well as workshops for people at all levels going on during Saturday and Sunday.

Dallas Salsa Congress 2013

Majesty in Motion (MIM) is a salsa dance company dedicated to high-energy performance, a jazzy style, and precise musicality. Founded in 2002 by David and Jennifer Stein, MIM has become the largest salsa company is San Diego.

Since MIM’s inception almost 10 years ago, we have grown from one team to now eight teams including five partner teams and three ladies teams. MIM’s directors and teams have traveled all over the world, performing and teaching in Bermuda, Japan, Canada, England, Sweden, and various US states including Seattle, Texas, New York, Boston, Arizona, Florida, and Oregon.

Salsa y Control” originated in 1999 with Johnny and Andres, two brothers who perform amazing duets with unique, intricate salsa footwork combinations. Salsa y Control later expanded to include partner dance performances with Johnny & Felicita. In 2003, the three established what we know today as "Salsa y Control Dance Company." Their drive came from the desire to inspire others to express inner emotion through the art of dance. 

Salsa Na’Mas was founded in 2006 in the city of oaxaca, oaxaca; its directors have been developed over the years in the field of dance to create a dance style sauce very peculiar, JORGE and LUPITA have represented their State and country in a very important way in the competitive field, and which has been done with excellent results, among its achievements we can mention a few of them; -2006 And 2008 national champions, winners of international competitions in Houston and San Francisco, representatives of Mexico at the conferences: Los Angeles CA., Puerto Rico, Houston, Las Vegas, Florida, Etc., in 2007 represented Mexico in the various world in Las Vegas, Nevada; occupying the 8th place at the global level, being so among the 10 best pairs in the world in its category.

Jayson Molina has been in the Salsa business for over 20 years. Starting at the age of 8, Molina began under the guidance of mambo king, Eddie Torres and has grown artistically as a dancer to be one of the headliners of salsa congresses worldwide. He is one of the reasons why people travel thousands of miles across the globe to events like the Puerto Rico Salsa Congress and West Coast Salsa Congress, attracting over 20,000 people annually.

Leadership Forum and Learning objectives for Teachers and Students.

Irving High after school Program teaching students about SALSA MUSIC!

Learning Objectives:  Students will work on projection/ performance strategies, community building, problem solving, non-violent communication, theatre games and other leadership strategies.

Teachers Development: How to meet the challenges of building a booster club or non-profit corporation even in a low economic neighborhood and raise funds for travel, costumes, workshops and festivals


Marketing and Public Relations: How to write a press release and get media coverage for your event. Community Building: Addressing the developmental needs of urban youth through Afro-Latino Learn strategies to nurture social/emotional maturity and build community.
