2013 Annual South Florida Interagency Prescribed Fire Council Meeting

Annual South Florida Fire Prescribed Council will include a field trip with discussion of scrub and pine flatwoods ecosystem management, an update by the National Weather Service on the south Florida fire weather outlook, and various speakers on wildland fire safety.

From the front entrance of the park it takes approximately 15 minutes to get to the Education Center (you will get directions at the ranger station).

One hour will be blocked off for lunch. It takes 20 minutes to get to the nearest restaurant or grocery store. There is a concession stand in the park that has snacks (chips, cookies, etc.) but otherwise has a limited selection of food. Please plan appropriately.
