2013 Alignment Conference
Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (CDT)
All generations want a voice. They want to be heard. They want a seat at the table and want to be agents of change.
Today’s Millennial Generation is no different…except as it relates to the Church.
For the first time in American church history, nearly an entire generation has grown tired of organized religion. This group of 18- to 34-year olds has become disenchanted by the Establishment and disinterested in the same speak by the same speakers. They no longer feel safe inside its walls or comforted by its people. And so they’ve walked away…from the church and/or from the faith.
It’s time for us to act. It’s time we see this shift as seismic and not slight. And it’s time we realize the impact it’s having on our pursuit of the right ministries, leadership and facilities.
