AS SEEN IN THE AJC AND NORTHSIDE NEIGHBOR!

You may have heard about our program from a colleague, from your church or from one of your networking contacts. Or you may have read about it in the Atlanta Journal and Constitution - either in the print edition or online: http://www.ajc.com/lifestyle/crash-course-in-career-506362.html.

Our Crash Course was also covered in the Northside Neighbor and you can read their article online: http://northside-neighbor.com/stories/CAREERCROSSROADS,163485

   UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY!  TOP NOTCH FACILITATORS!

We have assembled a team of expert facilitators -- leaders in career ministry programs at area churches, all experienced both in business and in helping others learn effective ways to search for new career opportunities! Many have also been unemployed before and understand the challenges you are facing.  You will find more information about our Crash Course Team, instructors and facilitators if you continue to scroll down.   You will find a brief bio on each and a link to their LinkedIn page.

The $40 course tuition covers our direct costs of offering this program (online career assessments, printed materials, credit card processing) and scholarships for those unable to pay for the course. Our volunteers are not compensated, and facilities are provided by our sponsoring church. No one profits but you! (This course is an exceptional value.  If you were to purchase the online career assessment individually, the cost for the assessment alone would be $80, twice your cost for this entire course!)

NEED-BASED TUITION ASSISTANCE IS AVAILABLE!  If you are not able to pay the $40 tuition, please do not register yet. Email us at northatlantacrossroads@gmail.com and we will send you a tuition assistance form.  Based upon your needs, you mar receive either full or partial tuition assistance. If you can pay the tuition, please do so in order to permit someone less fortunate to attend.

UNDECIDED? HEAR FROM OUR PAST PARTICIPANTS

Charles C (May 2010 class; landed new position 3 months after Crash course): "The Crash course was a game changer for me. First class instructors, current curriculum and outstanding practice – and all were wrapped in a faith-based approach. My offerings have clarity, meaning and purpose."

Jan R (October 2010 class; employed 2 months after Crash course): “I had been employed for over 12 years, so I was more unprepared for a job search in the atmosphere of 2010 than I could have ever imagined. The "Crash Course" was very comprehensive and the class facilitators were friendly, supportive and skilled.I would recommend the course to anyone in a job search who is unfamiliar with the "rules of the game" in this difficult market.”

Anne H (October 2010 class): "The Crossroads Crash Course was the kick-in-the-pants that I needed to invigorate my job search. The compressed time schedule meant that I HAD to do the self-work that was necessary to get the most out of the class. After every class I felt better about myself, my qualifications, skills and abilities. While I haven't found a position yet, I am confident that one is out there and that I now have the job-seeking talents to find it and get it.The Crash Course was the best thing that I could have done for my job search."

Carol A (March 2011 class; new job in June 2011): "The course made me re-evaluate what I was looking for in my next job.  Re-writing my resume -- with the guidance provided by the teaching team -- helped me recall aspects of my work experience that I had not focused on previously.  I think that was what made the difference.  Re-writing my resume and then leveraging on-line resources and LinkedIn really paid off!  Most of all, I really believed everything I was taught and took it to heart.  I simply can't thank you enough!"

Charlie G (May 2011 class; landed a position in July 2011): “The crash course not only enables one to quickly update their resumes, references and "elevator speeches", you learn NEW skills and search strategies needed to navigate today's employment landscape. The volunteer team of facilitators are effective communicators and incredible teachers. One benefit of the Crash course was the opportunity to meet people of different industries, faiths, and disciplines and share solidarity and fellowship through a tough time. I received ideas from the facilitators and fellow explorers that I would not have thought of on my own.  This class is not just about 'getting a job' it is also an opportunity to take stock of one's skills and talents. It strengthened my faith and gave me peace. I hope that I can someday pay-forward the gifts and blessings that were given to to me.
