Herb Spiral Design and Build Workshop

The Monadnock Localvores will host an Herb Spiral Design and Build Workshop with Craig Oshkello on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 from 3:30pm to 5pm in Harrisville, NH.

An Herb Spiral is a simple way to improve your kitchen garden, a spiral of rocks encloses soil in which many species of herbs are planted. The rock warms and dehumidifies the soil. The extended edge, wrapped in on itself provides a wide diversity of conditions, creating high productivity in a small space, but is easy to water and harvest.

This outdoor workshop will be held rain or shine.  Please dress accordingly.  Feel free to bring a chair.

Presenter: Craig Oshkello
Craig Oshkello has a master’s degree in landscape architecture, has practiced permaculture since 1993 and specializes in farm and community design as a founder of Land For Good.  Craig lives on Cold Pond Community Land Trust with his wife Stacey, children Ayla and Adyn, where they raise much of what they eat.

Registration for this workshop is limited.  The sliding scale fee is $5-15; but no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Workshop fees support Monadnock Localvore education and scholarship programs.

After registering you will receive a confirmation email with directions to the workshop.

Thank you for your interest in Monadnock Localvore workshops!
