Welcome to the registration site for the 2012 Greater Kansas City AACN 12 Lead ECG Review with Lisa Riggs, RN, ACNS-BC, CCRN.
This program has been approved by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) for 3.50 Contact Hours, Synergy CERP Category A, File number 00017912.
AACN was established in 1969 and is the largest specialty nursing organization. The GKCC of AACN was established in 1973 and continues to be very active in serving the community with award winning programming and activities. Through educational programming and scholarship support, we service the progressive and critical care nurses in Region 14 (Missouri and Kansas) and beyond.

Course Objectives:
1. Describe the ST changes that occur in myocardial ischemia and infarction.
2. Identify the ST pattern changes in case study reviews.
3. List the reasons when understanding the axis is important.
4. Identify the axis in sample 12 lead ECGs.
5. Explain the structure and electrical conduction of the right and left bundles.
6. Compare and contrast the QRS patterns in LBBB, RBBB and bifascicular blocks.
7. Discuss how will apply 12 lead ECG interpretation to daily practice.
8. Apply the findings of the 12 lead ECG interpretation to the nursing actions within case study reviews.
Additional Details:
Walk-In Registration: Walk-ins accepted if space allows. An additional $5 per person charged for walk-in registration!
Refunds: A full refund, less 15% administration fee will be granted, if cancellation is made in writing & received prior to May 29, 2012. AACN reserves the right to cancel the program for insufficient registration.
Student Status: Students in a pre-licensure nursing program qualify for the student rate.
Handouts/Syllabus: There will be NO handouts printed for distribution at the event. Handouts will be made available for download via the GKCC website @ www.aacngkcc.org > Events > 2012 ECG Review, 2 weeks prior to the event.
