The Central Coast GIS Users Group (http://www.orurisa.org/ccgisug) is pleased to invite you to the 2011 Oregon Coastal LiDAR meeting, taking place on May 11, 2011 in Newport, Oregon. The goals of this meeting are to provide an overview of various LiDAR data collection, processing, and storage methods and to focus on coastal applications of LiDAR modeling. The meeting will be held in the Library Seminar Room of the Guin Library at the Hatfield Marine Science Center (HMSC) in Newport. We will meet from 9 am to 4:30 pm on Wednesday, May 11th. We have arranged with a local deli to deliver coffee, pastries and lunches; this will be an optional flat charge ($9 for lunch, $3 for snacks/coffee/tea/etc). Please bring cash. The HMSC dining hall has been reserved for our group.
Finally, please be sure to join us for $3 pints at 5:00 pm at Bier One (424 SW Coast Highway, Newport, OR 97365). Lots of good stuff on tap!

Central Coast GIS Users Group
The Central Coast GIS Users Group (CCGISUG) was formed to promote
networking between GIS professionals, students, and others on the
Central Oregon Coast involved in mapping and geospatial technologies
and to provide the opportunity for them to exchange ideas and
experiences; address common problems and concerns; obtain advice; and
participate in training and education. We meet bimonthly on the second
Wednesday from 12:15 to 1:45. Membership is free!
