Description

PACE is a simple and effective way to finance energy efficiency, renewable energy, and water conservation upgrades to buildings. PACE can pay for new heating and cooling systems, lighting improvements, solar panels, water pumps, insulation, and more for almost any property: commercial, industrial, non-profit, multi-family and agricultural.

The Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance is the Program Administrator for both OHIO PACE and Energize Kentucky. The Program Administrator works with local governments and private-sector lenders to facilitate PACE financing for qualified energy projects. After PACE funding is provided, the property owner’s repayment method is an annual special assessment added to the property’s tax bill for the agreed upon term.

With PACE financing, property owners often enjoy the following benefits:

100% upfront financing (no down payment)

Fixed payment terms up to 25 years (cannot exceed the useful life of the improvement)

For some lease types, the “PACE Special Assessment” can be passed through to the tenants (the tenant will benefit from lower energy bills)

Eligible improvements include, but not limited to: HVAC, Elevators, Roofing, & Lighting
