Event description

Description

Join us for a discussion about the life of Mary Shelley and her most enduring work - Frankenstein: or, the Modern Prometheus. Written when she was still a teenager, it is considered the first science fiction novel. It is also quite possibly the most misrepresented novel in pop culture. Come learn about how the story originated, its major themes and why it is still so relevant 200 years later. Megan O'Donnell, a doctoral student at the University of Delaware will present. Light refreshments will be provided.
