20 Slides x 20 Seconds: Sustainable Building Advisor Program Chit-Chat
Wednesday, November 13, 2013 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM (PST)
San Francisco, CA
Dear Sustainable Building Advisor (SBA) Community,
Mark your calendars now!
BRING YOUR FRIENDS!
Join us on Wednesday, November 13, from 6-8pm, for some PechaKucha! (That's Japanese for chit-chat.)
We promise you this will be a fun, fast-paced, and cutting-edge educational event!
We are excited and honored to offer you an evening of dynamic presentations by some of our Bay Area SBA guest instructors and friends. They will be sharing some of their latest projects and unique insights afforded by their positions at the forefront of the local, national, and global green building movements.
The evening is powered by PechaKucha (Japanese for chit-chat) -- a unique presentation style pioneered in Japan and spreading rapidly throughout the world. Each presentation consists of 20 slides, shown for just 20 seconds apiece. Come see what our rock stars can deliver in just 6 minutes and 40 seconds!
We'll open with some "regular" chit-chat, have several presentations, then a bit more freeform chit-chat at intermission, and wrap up with a few more PKs and a Q&A session with all of our presenters. You'll be on your way by 8:00 pm ... unless you linger for yet more chit-chat!!
Our presenters include:
• Bruce King, Ecological Building Network
• Kirsten Ritchie, Gensler
• Peter Rumsey, Integral Group
• Ryan Stroupe, PG&E
• Chris Dorsi, HabitatX
• Andy Wahl, AC Home Performance
• Kirstin Weeks, Arup
• Remi Tan, KMD Stevens
• Michael Kloefkorn, Van Meter Williams Pollack LLP
• Bill Worthen, Urban Fabrick
Many thanks to our presenters and to our partners at PG&E for their generous sponsorship of this event.
