Event description

Everything but the bird! *****20% OFF use Promo Code. "HOLIDAY2017" at check out.******

We're Spicing things up this holiday season. Our Thanksgiving and Christmas side dishes goes global but includes all the familiar players: sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, stuffing and healthy grain salad, but we've given them each a new lease on life. Tunisia Harissa adds depth to our sweet potato and pairs well with the layers of Tandoori mushrooms in our stuffing. Lemongrass and ginger add a punch of personality to grilled Brussels, and Turmeric and curry adds dimension to ancient grain salad. Join us at this hands-on cooking class to learn how to SPICE UP your Thanksgiving and Christmas table. This class is totally vegan and kids friendly, so please join us. Gift Certificates Available and can be used for any of our products and cooking classes.

This is a three-hour hands-on cooking class.

Join us at the farm in our state-of-the-art kitchen, for classes that will transform your home cooking.

Our school at the farm offers:

- Hands-on learning with Nirmala and her expert teachers and peers

- Transformative flavor combinations of spices, techniques and local CSA produce to nurture the whole body.

- Practical, relevant lifestyle skills

At the farm school, there are no hard-to-find ingredients, strange cookware, but all your meals cooked will deliver big flavors.

Nirmala’s Kitchen is a leading specialty spice manufacturer headquartered in New York’s Hudson Valley and founded in 2003 by Nirmala Narine. She has travelled to over 167 countries working with local farmers in search of unique spices, studying their flavors and combining her extensive Ayurvedic knowledge to create spice blends that fuse cultures through food.

Nirmala started out selling spices at local markets, cultural events and at museums. Now Michelin 3-star chefs seek after her flavorful line of distinctive and high quality spices. Her line of products are sold on six continents

“A true talent for discovering wonderful things—we refer to her as the Indiana Jones of spices.” Eric Ripert, Executive Chef/Co-owner at Le Bernardin

“the spice rack that has everything” by The New York Times

"The Mistress of Spices" Martha Stewart

Today, Nirmala’s farm is truly a destination, once a working dairy ranch and vibrant rodeo from the 1800s through the 1960s. Five decades later, she has reincarnated the farm to the art of whole living; an Agroecology destination, Spice Shop, Apiary, a hands-on learning Cooking School, Spice Suppers, and an Ayurvedic holistic wellness center, focusing on transcendental yoga meditation.

Nirmala is a sought after speaker and consultant on global trends, flavor, and fragrance. She is the author of a YA novel, Ellishiva Cinnamon, and multiple travel-memoir cookbooks, the television host and executive producer of Nirmala’s Spice World (ZLiving Network), and the founder of Nirmala Global Village, a foundation dedicated toempowering orphans around the world.
