Regarding Cancer (Re:Cancer), a nonprofit organization that provides education, resources and support for those impacted by cancer, is hosting their 4th annual 20 Colors / 20 Hours Indoor Cycling Fundraiser February 4-5, 2017 at Kor180 Pilates and Cycling. All of the proceeds support Re:Cancer services for individuals being affected by a cancer diagnosis.
The 20 Colors / 20 Hours is a relay-styled fundraiser split into one-hour legs for 20 hours. Each of the 20 hours represents one of the 20 colors of cancer and people fundraise and ride for the color of cancer they choose to represent. The fundraiser is meant to unite the different cancer colors, as well as support each in its own right.
Re:Cancer’s fundraising goal of $60,000 will go toward volunteer training in the clinics and in their survivor / patient matching program, which matches a cancer survivor with a person who recently received a cancer diagnosis to offer hope and encouragement. The program also matches loved ones with people who have been caretakers. A portion of the proceeds from 20/20 provides fleece blankets, knitted caps and pillows for patients going through chemotherapy. With a wealth of resources, the Re:Cancer team is a beacon of hope to everyone who has ever been impacted by cancer.
