2-Day Food Styling & Composition Masterclass

Join Rachel Korinek from Two Loves Studio and Sophie Bourdon from The Green LIfe in this intensive food photography masterclass, where they will reveal all their composition and styling secrets. Learn how to drastically improve your skills and take powerful, engaging and mouthwatering food photos.

Whether you’re a blogger, content creator, aspiring professional photographer, food stylist, or are simply seeking to improve your existent skill set, this class will arm you with the technical knowledge and confidence you need to bring your photography to the next level.

From selecting the perfect props and backgrounds, to styling and composing a scene, Rachel and Sophie will walk you through their entire workflow from start to finish. You’ll get to witness their thought process and understand how to use light, props, colour, shapes and textures to create powerful and engaging food stories.

A professional collection of thousands of props and surfaces will be available to you so you can experiment hands-on and translate theory into practice.

You’ll learn how to add movement to still life photos and incorporate the human element to tell the story of a dish. You’ve always wanted to know how to capture that perfect drizzle or dusting of powdered sugar? We’ll show you exactly how to replicate these action shots and bring life to your food photos.

By spending two full days with two professional photographers, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to ask questions about social media, blogging, marketing, getting clients, and the business of freelance photography and styling.

Workshop highlights:

- Killer placement for telling stories.
- How to leverage layers for power and interest.
- Learn about beauty of different lenses.
- Discover the different 'hero angles' of food.
- Uncover Rachel's flare for minimalist styling.

- Learn Sophie's flare for adding that human element.

- How to choose luxurious + cohesive props.
- How to source and select backgrounds
- Compositional techniques + aspect ratios.

We’ll cover the basics of photography to get you comfortable with the manual settings of your DSLR (aperture, shutter speed, and ISO) before diving into more advanced concepts. We’ll demonstrate how to choose the best light for your subject, and how to manipulate reflections and shadows to tell your story.
