1st Wednesdays HBCU/Black Alumni Social: Little Haiti Opening
Event Information
Description
South Florida HBCU Alumni Alliance & BlackPagesMiami.com presents...
1st Wednesdays HBCU/Black Alumni Social:
Little Haiti Crawl
October 2, 2019
6pm - 9pm
Black Miami is emerging with several new Black-owned businesses opening this year.
And two just opened in Little Haiti: N'Namdi Contemporary Miami (family owned by an African-American couple) and NOIRE Arts Lounge (a partnership of a Haitian-American and two African-American women).
This is significant because Wynwood’s expansion is pushing many non-Black businesses into Little Haiti in addition to the recently approved mega development project, Magic City Innovation District, which will forever change Little Haiti’s landscape.
1st Wednesday’s HBCU/Black Alumni Social will celebrate and support these 2 new Black-owned businesses with a Little Haiti crawl.
N’Namdi Contemporary from 6pm - 7:30pm
Then head over to NOIRE Arts Lounge to close out from 7:30pm - 9pm.
1st Wednesdays has always been about building community among Black Miami since 2009. Whether you’re an HBCU grad or not, Greek or non-Greek, come out and fellowship with other upwardly mobile Black professionals while supporting Little Haiti.
Complimentary wine served.
