About this Event

The Synergistic partnership for Enhancing Equity in Cancer Health (SPEECH*), a comprehensive partnership between Temple University/Fox Chase Cancer Center and Hunter College (TUFCCC/HC) invites you to attend our 1st SPEECH Regional Cancer Health Disparity Conference held at Temple Lewis Katz School of Medicine on May 30th, 2019.

The purpose of this conference is to promote the advancement of research in cancer health disparities and support the development of outstanding underrepresented minority (URM) and diverse students/trainees who are committed to careers in cancer research and to collaboratively engage the community in enhancing quality and feasibility of these efforts.

Conference Highlights

  • Brief general opening with SPEECH Investigators
  • Poster presentations by students, Posdocs, and Junior Faculty - AWARDS GIVEN
  • Lunch networking session with established faculty, researchers, and professionals in the cancer field
  • Meet with NCI program directors during a Career Development Workshop for Cancer Research Funding Opportunities for students and early stage Investigators (ONLY 40 SLOTS AVAILABLE - SEPARATE SIGN-UP)
