Annual Social Work and Law National Symposium, Friday September 30, 8:30am-6pm
The 1st Annual Social Work and Law National Symposium is a one-day virtual event bringing together justice-oriented educators, researchers, practitioners, community leaders, and students for synergistic learning collaboration. This event exists to harness energy, passion, and wisdom to advance the field of forensic social work. Those with interest in serving persons involved with the legal system or operate from a cross-disciplinary approach of social work and law are welcome. This year, by connecting together, we are Strengthening Pathways and Partnerships to Advance Empowerment, Justice, and Change!
Join us for a full day of dynamic presenters leading engaging workshops and interactive discussions in key learning areas to include children and families, crime, delinquency, and justice, immigration, forensic education, and so much more!
We will kick off this year's event with a Pre-Symposium Ethics Workshop facilitated by celebrated leading authority on professional ethics, Dr. Frederic Reamer. This 2-hour workshop, Forensic Social Work: Ethical Challenges, is scheduled for Thursday September 29, 3pm - 5pm (central) and is now available for registration.
*A registration fee is required to participate in the pre-symposium workshop for all attendees. CEUs are included.
