After having a long conversation with my Mother about her SPECIAL day, we realized for many years we have celebrated with the same old routine: attend church, pile in the car, and find a place to eat lunch. This year, I want try something a little different.

I called friends from various business and entertainment backgrounds to create a unique after church luncheon—The 1st Annual Mother's Day Jazz Brunch and Sweet Shop. It’s an event featuring great food, live entertainment, and the opportunity to support local underground bakers.

First, I called my good friend Renowned Executive Chef Will Matthews. He will bring and prepare the main attraction...THE BRUNCH. Serving savory choices such as Shrimp & Grits, Biscuits & Gravy, and other signature dishes. A carving station, turkey sausage & Canadian bacon, potatoes, oatmeal and mini pancakes. There will also be an omelet station, fresh fruit, granola & skim milk, and house salad. (Items may change without notice)

Secondly, I contacted 3X Groove Jazz Trio. Tim "TC'' Chandler is the bone master on keys, Theo Hardin on the 7 string electric bass brings the bounce, and lastly, Freddy Spencer keeps the rhythm on the skins and high-hats. In addition, deep soul vocalist Truenessia "TRUE" Combs will bring some harmony and sing some old soul classics, jazz and neo soul.

To ensure this is a well-rounded Mother's Day event, we’ll add an awesome drink menu featuring Bloody Marys, Peach Bellinis, and Troy's signature Double Orange Mimosas. All priced right.

Lastly, I invited underground bakers, treat creators, and candy makers to come and sell their product in the rear of the bar and call it the "SWEET SHOP". Introducing and creating a new market for those looking for some exposure, build their business and possibly gain new customers. Please come eat, listen and purchase a treat or two.

Doors open at 10am (Brunch will be served all afternoon or until supplies run out)

Show time at 1pm/SWEET SHOP opens at 12pm

This is a ticketed event. A reservation(s), without prepurchasing a ticket, will not guarantee a seat/table or advanced ticket price. Walk-ins are welcome, but not gaurenteed a seat. Admission at the door: BRUNCH w/bottomless Mimosas is $42 (Only) Admission at the door: SHOW & SWEET SHOP is $10
