Description

Black Student Union Presents our 1st Annual Kwanzaa Fest. This is a celebration of African-American heritage which takes place December 26 to January 1 each year.

Kwanzaa gives those of us a chance to strengthen our community and be guided by principles that empower, uplift and liberate us. Kwanzaa which means “first fruits” in Swahili, in its own way, is often celebrated with songs, dance, African drums, stepping, storytelling, poetry reading, modelling and a large traditional meal.
