19th Annual Irene W. Pennington Wellness Day for Women
Saturday, February 23, 2019
7:30 am - 1:00 pm
Pennington Biomedical Research Center
FREE health and wellness screenings, exhibits, and educational sessions. This event is open to all women ages 18+.
Interested in fitness? Come dressed to participate in the morning fitness demonstration!
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
7:30 am – 11:00 am: Check-in and On-site Registration Open
7:30 am – 12:00 pm: Health Screenings and Exhibits
7:30 am – 9:30 am: Breakfast & Coffee
8:00 am – 8:45 am: REFIT Fitness Demonstration
Provided by Woman’s Center for Wellness
REFIT combines several elements of fitness into one power-packed session. While the focus is structured around Cardio Dance movements, toning and flexibility, strength training and stretching are also incorporated into this fun workout that is great for any age or fitness level.

*Note: For blood glucose screenings, fasting is recommended for 9-12 hours before the sample is collected. Do not eat or drink anything except water during the fasting period as this could affect the accuracy of your test results.
