Description

Raga Bath is an aided deep-relaxation and sound immersion session that blends the meditative depth of Indian classical ragas with the resonant healing tones of crystal singing bowls and bells. The experience is designed to gently guide participants into a state of mental calm, emotional balance, and physical relaxation through carefully layered sound.

During a Raga Bath, participants typically lie comfortably while the facilitators create a continuous soundscape using instruments such as crystal bowls, soft bells, and melodic phrases from Indian classical music (called NomThoms). The sustained vibrations of the bowls and bells produce rich harmonic overtones that can help slow breathing, quiet the mind, and encourage a meditative state. 

The session unfolds gradually, often beginning with gentle tones and simple melodic phrases, then deepening into immersive layers of sound that invite participants to release tension and focus inward. The ragas used may emphasize soothing melodic movements, slow tempo, and sustained notes, creating a sonic environment that supports introspection and relaxation.

By the end of a Raga Bath, participants typically experience a deep state of calm and inner stillness. The mind becomes quieter, with thoughts slowing down and mental chatter fading into the background. Many people notice a gentle sense of clarity and spaciousness, as if the mind has been given time to rest and reset.
