ABOUT THE SPEAKER:Henry TorresNAMI Albuquerque Board of Directors

Henry Torres is an active member of the NAMI Albuquerque Board of Directors. He has served on the board since July 30, 2023, and has been heavily involved in re-vitalizing the affiliates’ grant program and external communications efforts. He currently serves on the Executive Committee after being elected for a full term in 2024. He came to NAMI through the Family Support Group and Family-to-Family class that provided insights to better support his family.He is a retired software engineer, having spent 35 years in the industry in roles ranging from programming, test and evaluation, project management, line management and proposal development. Henry has experience in organizational level planning and subsequent implementation of tools to support business needs.He is a husband, father, and grandfather who has lived and worked in Albuquerque for the past 40 years and has a passion for morning walks. Henry is bilingual and has served as a volunteer with several other local non-profit organizations. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of New Mexico.
