Question 1

I am planning on using a ride share to get to the Arboretum. Where should I have them drop me off?

Accepted Answer

Please drop a pin at the Asian Collections Parking lot within the grounds so the driver will drop you off exactly at the meeting location. DO NOT JUST ENTER THE ARBORETUM'S ADDRESS, as you will be dropped off at one of the Arboretum gates, ~20 minute walk from the meeting location.

Question 2

Why is this called a "walk" and not a "hike"?

Accepted Answer

This event is considered a walk and not a hike since the event will traverse less than half a mile over the course of the event. The intention of forest bathing is not to traverse the entire Arboretum, but rather move slowly and appreciate things within a smaller area.

Can I still attend this event if I use a cane, walker, or have other physical limitations?

Yes- please email info@fona.org when registering for the event to let us know your needs, and we will work with the guides to accommodate them.

Question 4

I see pets aren't allowed, but am I allowed to bring my service animal?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Service animals are always allowed on forest bathing walks.
