Join us for an early Sunday morning meander.

Top Lock Cottage

We’ll gather on the canal at Bath Locks, just outside Top Lock Cottage (BA2), before easing into a gentle circular walk. The path winds upward, carrying us into the quiet slopes of Smallcombe Nuttery, where young walnut, cobnut, sweet chestnut and almond trees reach skyward across the meadow. From here, the hillside opens, and the city stretches out below, softened by the early spring light.Partway through, we’ll pause for a coffee, letting the warmth of the sun and the fresh air settle around us. There’s time to take in the delicate changes of the season. Buds unfurling, birds calling, the subtle scent of new growth, and to share conversation in this quietly awakening landscape. Meeting Point: Bath Locks, just outside Top Lock Cottage Kennet &amp; Avon Canal, Bath BA2 6DH Transport: A short walk from Bath Station and easy walking distance from the city centre. Meet at: 9:00 AM / Aim to return by 11:00 AM Duration: Approx. 1hr 30m Difficulty: Easy Cancellations: Please let me know by the day before if, for any reason, you cannot make the walk.
