LIVE MUSIC :Ostinato and Joe Lally, Jerry Busher & Yanni live in Concert

Ostinato is a mostly instrumental band originating in the DC/NOVA scene in 1997. Their sound is bombastic, echo laden and psychedelic with a driving intensity behind it. After releasing 3 albums, touring extensively and taking a long hiatus they are now back and writing new material for a new album. The current iteration of the band is located in the Charlottesville area and has the addition of a second guitar, performing now as a quartet.

Joe Lally, Jerry Busher & Yanni is a collaboration of friends and collaborators dating back decades. Yanni Papadopoulos is the guitarist of Philly's Stinking Lizaveta, a heavy doom jazz trio who released records on Joe's Tolotta Records back in the day. Currently Joe and Jerry, who collaborated previously in Fugazi play in another improv group with saxophonist Sarah Hughes and for this debut show will be joined instead by Yanni for a heavy exploration of sound. This will be their first gig and not to be missed.
