Cash and checks only will be accepted at the door. The event will be held on Saturday, May 11 from 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM. The doors and resource area open at 12:30 PM. The event will be in the Webber Cancer Center at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital. The Webber Cancer Center is located on the southeast side of the building. For the shortest walk, please park near the doors to the Webber Cancer Center (look for the "Webber Cancer Center" sign - it is located above the portico entrance to the Center). Once inside, take the elevator on your right to the basement. Please dress comfortably and layer. We cannot control the room temperature and what is warm to one person, is cold to another. We will be taking photos and videos at the event. By attending, you give your permission for us to use any photos/videos taken of you for educational, promotional and advocacy purposes. Living with fibromyalgia is a challenge but you don't have to do it alone. Join us for a seminar on taking charge of your fibromyalgia with Tami Stackelhouse, founder of the International Fibromyalgia Coaching Institute and author of The Fibromyalgia Coach and Take Back Your Life. A fibromyalgia patient herself, Tami has gone from disabled to thriving. Her compassion, gentle support, and fun coaching style have helped fibromyalgia patients all over the world take back control of their lives.

Information presented at the event will help the whole family and anyone who cares about helping people live better with fibromyalgia, including healthcare providers!

Registration is strongly encouraged. Early Bird registration is $10 (plus a $1.53 online service fee) and ends April 30. Early Bird registrants are guaranteed a conference packet. After April 30, tickets are $12 (plus a $1.63 online service fee) and we will provide conference packets with handouts in the order registrations are received and as quantities allow. Tickets will be available at the door for $15 cash or check only. Tickets also will be sold at FAM's Fibromyalgia Support & Education Group Meetings on March 11 and April 8 (cash or check). We are a volunteer non-profit organization. Ticket fees are nonrefundable. Conference ticket fees and donations fund the conference and educational programs in Michigan. Directions and Parking:

The Webber Cancer Center is located at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital (previously known as St. John Hospital) at the corner of 12 Mile and Hoover in Warren, Michigan (approximately one mile north of I-696). The meeting takes place in the Webber Cancer Center basement auditorium. For the shortest walk, park near the entrance marked "Webber Cancer Center." The Cancer Center is located on the southeast side of the hospital.

Conference Comfort Tips:

Please refrain from wearing cologne or perfume and/or bringing any scented items into the conference. We try to keep the conference scent-free due to guests' sensitivities that can trigger responses such as migraines. Please layer your clothes as the room temperature can feel warm to one person and cold to another. Feel free to bring a pillow or anything that helps to keep you comfortable while seated. You may alternate between sitting and standing at any time. There will be a break about halfway and guests are welcome to come and go as needed. Refreshments and water will be provided.

Event Check-In:

The doors and exhibit area open at 12:30 PM on May 11. We recommend arriving by 12:30 PM to get checked in and explore our resource area. The presentation begins promptly at 1 PM. Please read our conference comfort tips for suggestions to stay comfortable. The agenda will be online shortly at famichigan.org.

Registration & Refund Policy:

Registrations are non-refundable. We are a volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit organization supported by event fees, donations and grants. Your ticket fee supports Fibromyalgia Awareness Day and other educational initiatives in Michigan - thanks for your support! If you cannot attend and want to send someone in your place, please contact us at waldrops@famichigan.org.

Special Needs:

We will have American Sign Language Interpreters. Please be sure to indicate on your registration form that you need interpreting. If we will not have interpreters (due to unforeseen circumstances) we will refund your registration and notify you in advance of the event.

The auditorium has stairs. If you are unable to do stairs, we have handicapped seating that you can reserve on your registration form.
