Octavio Paz, México’s Nobel laureate is a universal thinker. He made in-depth analyses of México and the U.S. and foresaw a new world order with two forces at play: a tendency towards globalization but, at the same time an explosive fragmentation based on race and religion. This brief overview of his ideas is particularly useful to understand the world today.

He has given over 2,000 lectures in Mexico, the US, Europe, China and South America in institutions such as The Library of Congress, The Smithsonian Institution, Mexico’s Palacio de Bellas Artes and universities such as Harvard, Columbia, Georgetown and UNAM.
