About this event

Do you want to learn how you can get involved in this year’s Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week?

Join us on Thursday, October 28th at 12:00 pm to learn how!

For this month, we’ll be talking about everything Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week- what it is, why it matters, what activities will be happening for this year’s campaign, and how YOU can get involved!

You’ll hear from the people who’ve been planning this year’s efforts- Pam Presnall, Director of Development & Outreach at 2-1-1 Orange County; Mychael Blinde, Development Manager at Pathways of Hope; Imelda Buncab, Community Engagement Manager at Share Our Selves, and Tim Houchen, the Chair of the Continuum of Care ’s Lived Experience Advisory Committee.

If you want to participate in Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week, you can sign-up here.

When you register you will have the opportunity to submit questions about the topic that you’d like our guest speakers to answer. We will do our best to answer as many questions as possible, but we cannot guarantee that your questions will be answered during the event.

Registration will close the hour before the weekly chat session. If you miss the registration deadline, you can tune in to watch on Facebook.

Organizer United to End Homelessness

Organizer of Get Involved in Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week | Community Chat

The United to End Homelessness initiative, empowered by United Way, is a powerful collaboration between Orange County’s top business, philanthropic, governmental, faith-based and non-profit leaders. It also depends on caring residents like you who agree that we must act now if we are to end our community’s homeless crisis. We are all working together to create long-term supportive housing to do more for those most in need.

Our Mission:

United to End Homelessness is committed to reducing homelessness in Orange County to functional zero. This means that there will be services and housing available for every individual who may need them. We complement the work of the Orange County Commission to End Homelessness and Continuum of Care Board.
