Event description

Description

The Illinois Saint Andrew Society, now known as Chicago Scots, was established in 1845 when a group of Scots came together to celebrate the Feast of Saint Andrew, Scotland's patron saint. Every year for 173 years, despite world wars, great depressions and fires, the Society has hosted the "Feast of the Haggis" - never missing a year and making this event Chicago's longest running black tie dinner and we look forward to welcoming you to the 173rd year of the Feast!

The Chicago Scots welcome everyone who is Scottish by birth, by heritage or simply by inclination to come and enjoy a fun evening, celebrating Scottish culture while honoring our 2019 awardees:

Distinguished Citizen Award: Each year the Chicago Scots are proud to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of a Scot by presenting him or her with our highest honor, our Distinguished Citizen Award. This year we are proud to present the 2018 award to:

Alex Gourlay - Co-Chief Operating Officer for Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc.
